Only some of the older members will remember that outstanding actor, Cyril Box, who contributed some fine performances in the early days of the old theatre. He was in the cast of the first production in the "tin hut" theatre, "Dragon's Teeth" in 1933, but will be particularly remembered for a superb performance in the lead part of the son in Masefield's"The Witch".
Cyril was one of those actors who did so much to set the high standards of The Questors in those crucial early days.
We were suddenly saddened by the news of his death early in May, a peaceful passing.
Cyril never failed to send his good wishes every Christmas to The Questors, from Southwold, where he had been living for many years.
