IN FOND MEMORY

HENRY HEILPERN (d.2001)

It is with great sadness that we learnt of the death of Henry Heilpern in November [2001]. Kit Emmet remembers him:

"He was not one for starring roles, but he played many small parts (I gave him his first one in Prophesy to the Wind in 1949). He was mainly to be seen tearing tickets and doing Front of House duties over many years. A local doctor, he was very supportive to me over Alfred's illness in the early eighties and advised me when a heavily pregnant member of a visiting IATW company announced she was due to give birth during the week they were here! I rang Henry in a panic and after he had stopped laughing, he told me exactly what he could do if the worst happened and I was not to worry, but get straight in touch with him!"

Our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
