IN FONDEST MEMORY

JUDY WORSELY (d.1988)

It was a great shock to us all to hear of the untimely death of our friend and colleague, Judy Worsley.

Judy joined The Questors in 1972, and became assistant Membership Secretary in 1976, taking over as full-time Membership Secretary when Nell Cruse retired in 1980. An excellent cook she pioneered our catering department, starting the Bistros, and from 1981 co-ordinated the Hotplate with Dorothy Dent until she moved to Newbury three years ago.

Judy will also be remembered as a very talented musical actress, appearing in many of the Cecilian Players productions, including Fiddler on the Roof, Lock Up Your Daughters, and The Wizard of Oz. She was warm-hearted, always cheerful, patiently and efficiently dealing with the hundred and one queries connected with her job in the office. Her effervescent personality made her extremely popular with all our members. Our deepest sympathy is extended to Eddie and sons Paul and Nigel — she will be greatly missed.
