IN FONDEST MEMORY

EWART SHELLSHEAR (d.1942)

NEWS BULLETIN No. 27.
[April 1942]

Private Ewart W. Shellshear, R.A.C. died in hospital in the Middle East, as the result of an accident. Ewart had been an Acting Member of the Club since 1932, and was one of those who took a leading part in the planning and execution of the work when we made our theatre in 1933. Although he played a less active part in the affairs of the Club of recent years, he never lost his enthusiastic interest, and was unfailingly ready to help us in any way that he could, and we never called on him in vain. Most of the work Ewart did was done quietly and unselfishly in the background. His work remains, and he will be held in affectionate memory by all who knew him.
