IN FONDEST MEMORY

CHARLES LENO (d.1972)

Charles Leno, who died in London in October [1972], was one of the small band of acting members of The Questors during the middle war years, before he left to go into the professional theatre. His Vanya in our first production of Chekhov was a notable performance, as was his Michael James in The Playboy of the Western World. He also did a stint as Treasurer and Committee Member. His warm personality, his acting talent and his devotion to the theatre contributed greatly to the survival of The Questors during the days of the blitz.
