IN FONDEST MEMORY

RICHARD JOHNSON (d.2010)

The death has taken place of Richard Johnson, a popular Questors personality of the seventies and
eighties. He joined the theatre to accompany his wife Ann (nee Bevan), one of our leading actresses,
and soon became heavily involved. He served many years on the Grapevine Committee and also did
sterling work catering for social events. He joined Ann in the Coarse Acting Company for the tours to
Edinburgh in 1977 and 1979, acting as business manager and playing several small parts.

He always said his proudest moment was when after a crowded first night he carried a sack full of
money into the bank and dumped it on the counter. "I see you've had a good week" said the cashier.
"Good week be damned" replied Richard, "This is just one night".
