More sad news, I'm afraid. It comes in waves at the moment. Mary passed away on the 3rd August, in hospital, after a long illness. Family and close friends were by her bedside.

Those who remember Mary will remember her performances, not least in my student year with Estelle Longmore, Wylie Longmore and Mike Langridge as well as being in 'Brand', the first production in the new playhouse, back in 1964.

A quiet yet commanding actress who was a joy to work with.

As she once said in an improvisation with Mike and I'm paraphrasing, "Rest in Peace".
