We are saddened to learn that Mike Green died on Sunday 25 February at the age of 91.
Mike joined The Questors in 1953, having moved to London to pursue his career as a journalist, and was active as an actor, director and writer fo over 60 years, remaining busy until the end of last year when he wrote the play which won best script at The Coarse Acting Festival in November. He was also an active member of the Richmond Shakespeare Society and had recently recorded The Art of Coarse Acting as an audiobook. The print version was first published in 1964 and the many coarse plays which spun off from it are performed regularly all over the world.
Generations of members will miss this wonderfully warm and deliciously funny man, who had an uncannily long and accurate memory. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his widow, Christine.
