Sadly we have learnt that Phoenix, an active member of the Questors Youth Theatre between 2008 and 2011, died in tragic circumstances in June of 2023.
Phoenix showed such talent for acting from a young age and loved her time at Questors Youth Theatre.
Alex Marker writes:
I recall Phoenix principally when I taught her in the primary age groups on Saturday mornings, particularly the group devised piece that we did in 2009 called 'The Nightmare Fair' where she, along with the rest of the group, helped create a play set in a haunted fairground. Other end of term showcases included 'Power Games' in 2012.
Phoenix also performed in some of our Christmas productions including: The Wizard of Oz and Beauty and the Beast (where she performed alongside her mother Marcelle), as a villager, a wolf and a spoon. She also performed in A Christmas Carol (2009) Annie (2011) and the Questors Youth Theatre production The Pierglass in 2010.
Although she moved to Abu Dabi with her family and had not been connected with The Questors for a number of years I remember her as a QYT group member who brought positivity to all the projects that she participated in.
