The Questors has lost one of its oldest personalities with the death of Bill Charlton at the age of 92. Bill, who died in May, was attending the theatre long before the present Playhouse was built, being a keen supporter back in the days of the Tin Hut, as the old theatre was affectionately known.
He continued his interest in the new theatre where he was a Front of House official while his wife Hedy was a long-serving member of the old Hotplate team in the days when they miraculously produced hot meals every performance evening.
