This year's Festival Included a total of seven new plays from five writers, six of them playing in the Stanislavsky Room (the Tin Hut now just a memory) and one in the Bernard Shaw Room. 

Extra events included  Late Night Jazz with John Rolfe and his group, an art exhibition in the Shaw Room, and two poetry evenings: 
(1) John Knight (author of 'Straight Lines and Unicorns'), Richard Kell (author of 'Control Tower' and included in 'Six Irish Poets', edited by Robin Skelton) and Alan Chambers.
(2) Dannie Abse (playwright, novelist and poet; author of 'Poems, Golders Green', Poetry Book Society's summer 1962 choice, and other books of poems) and Thomas Blackburn (author of 'A Smell of Burning', 'The Next Word' and other books of poems).
