Unpredictable, exciting, stimulating, disappointing, shocking, controversial are just six of the numerous words which have been used to describe past productions presented in The Questors New Plays Festival. For many members it remains the most popular part of our season. It is certainly one of our most important events so far as the outside world is concerned as the number of national newspaper drama critics in evidence will testify.
In addition to the plays, there are the discussions after performances, each one led by an authority on drama, people such as Martin Esslin, Ronald Bryden and Michael Billington.
The three plays presented in this year's festival promise to continue the repeated success of previous years. Two of the authors are completely new to The Questors, Pierre Roudy and John Norman, whilst the third is almost a regular contributor, David Mowat.
