So we come to the crowning point of the season for our main acting group. This is the 15th
New Plays Festival presented by The Questors, the 15th occasion on which we have presented 3 world premieres.
In some ways, this event is the most outwardly noted and noticed manifestation of The Questors' work. National critics report the plays, they also lead the discussions on the plays which are held after each performance. Agents, other playwrights and directors from the professional theatre all come to this unique showcase of new work.
Sometimes the New Plays Festival will mark a play's first and last performance, sometimes it provides the threshold to a new and important voice in theatre: our purpose is to provide the opportunity for the new playwright's work to be seen, and for the writer himself to see his play in live theatre.
This year we have a trio of plays on diverse subjects, all read well off the page. We have a trio of very experienced directors translating them to the stage. We have a poetry evening. We have a Festival, come and enjoy it.
